Unity in diversity - Does that hold good always?

Unity in diversity - one of the popular quotes of Indian patriotism. It is evolved from the harmonious co-existence of different religions, casts, languages and customs within same one country.

Well, is this applicable for the small units constituting the community or on bigger scale the country called 'Family'. In ideal paradigm - yes it will be. Family is composed of Husband and wife and children. Husband can be from a specific culture, specific religion or cast or a health condition, whereas wife can be from an entirely different culture, religion, cast or health condition. Children can be mix of the both these culture ideally ( In my honest opinion in fact for a healthier family eco-system the equal mix or right mix is necessary). This eco-system will sustain when each part of this eco-system honor or experience or understands or mingle the others' culture, values, taste and habits.

If one is side-lined based on their specifics where others are keeping a gap or void will create feelings of isolation, loss of identity or inferiority. If the minority is sidelined by majority, then the result would be more disastrous. Among those minority, someone may be able to sail through or recover, some one will collapse!.

The bigger dilemma

Human behavior is to be happy (at least internally) when one is recognized or heard. That gives him/her a good outline of how other human beings are seeing him. This theory holds good for one's closed circle of fellow human beings. They could your close relatives , close friends, lover etc. 

If one see that within his close circle of fellow human beings, conflicting signs - someone hear or recognize you whereas some one rejects or not hear you, that will put him into dilemma on the outline he gets on himself. it will be a terrible situation for one who wants to be a perfectionist. 

In most of the situations, this situation is overcome by choosing one side. It could be the acceptance of response from reject/not hearing fellow humans or response form recognize/hearing fellow humans and that too most of the time from the later.

If one wants to be perfectionist and also a person who convinces and go , the above explained situation will be a hell for him. Some of them finally overcomes, some collapse and recover, some will fail terribly in all sense.
